Title
English: Business at 15th and E. Pike St. between Harvard Ave. and Broadway, Seattle, Washington, May 15, 1909.
Description
English: Capitol Hill neighborhood. Shows Keister's Ladies Tailoring College. On front of image: "Lot 12, Blk 10, J.H. Nagles Add." On verso of image: "E. Pike St. and 14th Ave., n.w. corner. 5-15-09"
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Tailor shops--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Keister's Ladies Tailoring College; Swelldom Tailors (Firm); Stores, Retail--Washington (State)--Seattle; Broadway (Seattle, Wash.); Pike Street (Seattle, Wash.); Capitol Hill (Seattle, Wash.)

"…at 15th and E. Pike St. between Harvard Ave. and Broadway" makes no sense at all. Presumably from the visible signs, the "between Harvard Ave. and Broadway" part is wrong (if it were there, the sign alluding to 14th would be off by about 5 blocks).

In fact, northwest corner of E. Pike and 14th seems spot on. The building in the foreground is gone, but the building visible at left is still there as of 2018, raised up with shops under it.
