English: Butter Rock, east of Bat's Head Looking southeast towards the Butter Rock stack - from this angle it looks angular and the wave-cut notch at its base on the left hand (east) side is quite obvious. The seams of flints in the chalk show that the strata are vertical, in common with the cliffs to the east of Bat's Head. Compare with this view from further east along the beach: 299719. |
