Cầu Long Biên (Doumer) là cây cầu làm từ thời Pháp do thiết kế của kiến trúc sư G.Eiffel người đã thiết kế xây dựng tháp Eiffel tại Paris thiết kế. Cầu bắc qua nhánh sông Hồng đổ vào Hà Nội, nối giữa Gia Lâm và nội thành.

Ngày xưa cầu là đầu mối giao thông quan trọng còn ngày nay cầu là nơi hóng gió mát từ bãi giữa đất bồi thổi vào. Mỗi chiều về người Hà Nội lại đi qua cầu hưởng cái gió mát lạnh từ sông Hồng thổi vào lòng thành phố. Có lẽ cầu chẳng đẹp vì nó góc cạnh xù xì sắt thép nhưng ai sinh ra tại Hà Nội đều coi nó là một biểu tượng tinh thần, gắn bó trong tim.
