Summary edit
DescriptionC2012 S2 (ISON) morning sky northern hemisphere.png |
English: The comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) in the (roughly eastern) morning sky for an observer on 52° N latitude, between September 2013 and February 2014. The position of the comet with respect to the background stars is correct at all times. The horizon and twilight are (roughly) valid for 2 Dec 2013, 8:00 local time and the positions of the planets are correct for 3 Dec 2013, 8:00 CET (7:00 UT). The comet tails are schematic and give a rough indication of the orientation of the actual tail, but not of its true length or appearance. The yellow labels show the day of month for which a comet is drawn, red ones the first day of a month. Source: http://hemel.waarnemen.com/kometen/2013-11__C-2012_S1_ISON.html |
