The Powerhouse provided steam power, heat, and compressed air for the Shops’ engine repair facilities. The site, originally 280 acres in size, is located approximately 2.5 miles north of Union Station in Downtown Denver in what is now the northwest quadrant of the intersection of U.S. Interstate Highways 25 and 70.
