The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) Denver Shops Powerhouse is a steel-frame and brick powerhouse located at the western edge of the former CB&Q Denver Shops facility, which opened in 1923 as an important node in CB&Q’s network of shops dedicated to the repair and rebuilding of its steam locomotive fleet.
