| Description |
Nederlands: Wandkleed. Sanatorium Garoet, een rehabilitatie- en recreatiecentrum, in de bergen van Preanger op Java, was gesticht in 1915 door dr. Denis Gerard Mulder. Het centrum bestond uit individuele vertrekken, waaromheen gezamenlijke ruimtes, eetzalen en zusterverblijven. Om het gebouw heen bevonden zich groentetuinen, tennisbanen, paardenstallen, een zwembad en een golfbaan.
In 1920 werd dr. Mulder benoemd tot Overheidsarts voor West-Java. Het hoofdkwartier werd gevestigd in Bandung. Sanatorium Garoet werd verkocht aan een hotelketen onder de naam Hotel Ngampang. Tijdens WO2 en de politionele acties in de vroege jaren '50 werd het gebouw verwoest. Later werd op dezelfde plek een nieuw hotel geopend waarin elementen van het oude gebouw verwerkt zijn, zoals het decoratieve zwembad en de golfbaan..
