Nederlands: Repronegatief. Ongeveer 50 jaar nadat de spoorlijn naar Blitar de immigratie bevorderde, vertrok de trein uit Blitar met emigranten. Vanaf het begin van de 20e eeuw was de koloniale overheid begonnen om bewoners van de meest dichtbevolkte streken op Java aan te sporen met overheidssteun te vetrekken naar 'lege' streken in de Buitengewesten (dat zijn alle delen van Indië buiten Java), aanvankelijk vooral Zuid-Sumatra. Dit proces, tegenwoordig 'transmigrasi' genoemd, is door het onafhankelijke Indonesië voortgezet. De laatste tijd komen transmigranten vooral in het nieuws in verband met etnisch geweld. (P.
