Bahasa Indonesia: NB: Pada tanggal 10 juli 2023 obyek ini sudah direstitusi pada Republik Indonesia.
English: NB: This object was restituted to the Republic of Indonesia by the Netherlands Secretary of State for Culture and Media on July 10, 2023.
Nederlands: Schildering. Volgens de schilder is hier de periode van de Japanse bezetting uitgebeeld. Vanuit de linkerbovenhoek storten gele vlinders (symbool voor de Japanners) zich in zee, waar ze verdrinken of worden verslonden door monsters. In de rechterbovenhoek zijn verschillende episoden uit de Japanse bezetting afgebeeld: een rattenplaag, en oogstende mannen die vluchten. Een vlag aan een speer toont de afbeelding van een cakra (rad) met vier vlammen. Witte vlinders aan de bovenkant stellen de komst van de geallieerden voor. Daaronder wordt het dagelijkse leven op Bali uitgebeeld. Een symbolische voorstelling van de Japanse bezetting. NB: Op 10 juli 2023 door de Nederlandse Staatssecretaris van Cultuur en Media gerestitueerd aan de Republiek Indonesië.
