Nederlands: De kruk wordt bij de Karamojong vaak gebruikt als neksteun om de kapsels in tact te houden. Waarschijnlijk is voor deze doeleinden langzamerhand uit de kruk een neksteun ontstaan. De neksteun wordt door de mannen, aan de arm, overal meegedragen.
De neksteun werd vervaardigd door Karamojong die hun straf uitzaten in de gevangenis van Moroto te Kenya. De "prisons industries", een onderdeel van het "aid prisons department", stimuleert de verkoop van voorwerpen vervaardigd door de gevangenen. |
