Nederlands: Masker. Pentul is een panakawan, een clownsbediende. Hij is de bediende van Prins Panji uit de gelijknamige cyclus. Hij komt ook voor in straat tonelen, bij de ronggeng of bij de kuda kepang dansen. Of soms is hij een schout in kluchten waarbij pantoen's (vierregelige versen) met erotische inhoud worden gezongen. Het is een halfmasker, zodat de danser met dit masker in staat is om te praten.
