Nederlands: Negatief. Het rijk Bone, waarmee de VOC het verdrag van Bongaja gesloten had, werd in de 19e eeuw een zogeheten 'zelfbesturend landschap'. Ook de vorsten van Tanette, noordelijker dan Makassar en Bone op de 'zuidwesterarm' van Celebes, werden 'zelfbestuurders' met de titel Datu. In de 17e eeuw was Tanette meestal in hetzelfde kamp te vinden als Arung Palakka, de vorst van Bone die de Nederlanders tegen Makassar gesteund had. In de 19e eeuw kwam Tanette twee maal in opstand tegen de Nederlanders. Het werd diverse malen door vorstinnen bestuurd. (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
