| Description |
PC8948H 20 MAN A22 buses are converted from SMRT's fleet for COMET (COVID-19 Multi-Passenger Enhanced Transporter). There are 3 variants, MINI, MIDI and MAXI. MAXI is for transporting >30 passengers at once. They are retrofitted with airtight compartmentalisation between the driver and the passengers to minimise transmission risk. These buses are owned by Sheares Healthcare and operated by SMRT's private transport branch, STRIDES Transportation. Due to reduced operations, the number of active COMET MAXIs have reduced, and these are currently in storage. |
