Description
Español: Conjunto de síntomas y signos principalmente sensitivos, dolor de cabeza (cefalea), y vegetativos, inestabilidad (mareos, vértigos), ocasionados por el impacto o choque de la mandíbula contra el maxilar superior durante sus movimientos funcionales quedando disminuidos o limitados.

En el aparato masticatorio la articulación comprometida es la Temporomandibular; el menoscabo funcional se refiere a la masticación y fonación; la causa del CAT es extra o intraarticular y el CAT puede ser uni o bilateral.

El CAT es la causa de las migrañas, de las cefaleas tipo migrañosas y del Síndrome de Boca Ardiente (SBA).
