Summary edit

Description
English: The CP Nel Museum in Oudtshoorn recreates and pays homage to the industries and names who played their part in establishing Oudtshoorn as a country town which once bustled with commerce and life. At the heart of the bustling commercial days of Oudtshoorn was the feather trade, more particularly the Ostrich feather trade. The museum exhibits information and recreations of the ostrich feather industry, as well as featuring an old pharmacy, antiquities and a Jewish synagogue which is still in use today. It is named in honor of Colonel C.P Nel.
