Description

Thursday, April 17, 2014 -- Governor Dannel P. Malloy joined groups of Connecticut veterans, Mayor Dan Drew and other state and local officials for the official groundbreaking of the Connecticut Trees of Honor -- a new memorial that will be built at Veterans Memorial Park in Middletown to honor the sacrifices and bravery of the military men and women our state has lost while serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.


The living memorial will feature a flowering tree and personalized plaque for each of Connecticut's fallen heroes from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
