  • Dansk: Motivet er beskrevet i et brev til J. F. Clemens den 30. oktober 1812: "en Prospect af Paris, hvoraf jeg afviigte Sommer, har gjort en noyagtig Tegning i Sepia [kendes ikke i dag], og som vel vilde være ligesaa riig og interessant, som den første [dvs. 'Udsigt fra Meudon Slot', KMS1623], det er en Udsigt fra Hr. K.[ammer] J.[unker] Neergaards Bolig på Quai Voltaire, her seer man til hoyre den søndre Fløy af Thuillerie slottet, og et Stykke af Museet [dvs. Louvre], i midten Pont royal og det smukke Badehuus Bain de virgier bag ved Thuillerie Haven [...], Floden med dens Skibe, og den stærke pasage over Broen og paa quaien opliver meget denne Prospect." (Eckersberg i Paris, 1947, p. 104f).
