Description
Español: Aunque hoy aparece como una vía pecuaria, una de las ocho cañadas reales existentes en Navarra, fue utilizada más como una ruta de comunicación y comercial que para la búsqueda de pastos estacionales. Nace en el corazón de Navarra y finaliza en el de Gipuzkoa. Fue precisamente el tránsito de ganado bravo proveniente de la mitad sur de Navarra con destino a las fiestas de los pueblos guipuzcoanos lo que dio uno de los nombres a esta cañada. Su otro nombre, por el que era más conocida, Cañada Real de la Provincia, provenía del hecho de que históricamente esta vía unía el reino de Navarra con una de sus provincias, Gipuzkoa.
Euskara: Nahiz eta gaur egun abelbide bezala ezagutua izan -Nafarroako zortzi erret abelbideetako bat-, erabiliagoa izan zen komunikazio eta merkataritza-bide gisan urtaroko bazkalekuak bilatzeko baino. Nafarroako bihotzetik abiatzen da eta Gipuzkoarenean amaitu. Zezenen izena datorkio ibilbidea XVII. eta XIX. mendeetan zehar erabili baitzen Gipuzkoako hainbat herritako festa herrikoietan jokatuko ziren zezen suharrak eramateko Nafarroako hegoaldetik. Beste izena, Probintzietako Abelbidea, zetorkion Nafarroako Erresumaren garaietan erresuma lotzen zuelako bere probintziekin.
English: Although today appears as a cattle route, one of eight actual "cañadas" in Navarre, was used more as a communication and trade route that for finding seasonal pastures. Born in the heart of Navarre and ends in Gipuzkoa's. It was precisely the transit of wild cattle from the southern half of Navarre that were taken to the village festivals in Gipuzkoa which gave one of its names to this route. Its other name, which was better known, Cañada Real de la Provincia, came from the fact that historically this route linking the kingdom of Navarre with one of its provinces, Gipuzkoa.
