Everything about this cabinet card image shouts 'copy', but the "Reproduced by" certainly gives it away! The mount is ca 1900 but I'm not entirely sure about the original image - probably a carte de visite, I suspect it's 1880s. More about Wakefield and other Ealing studios at www.whatsthatpicture.com/2012/01/early-ealing-studios-pho... Plain reverse. |
