English: The chair of Alfabia is an armchair made of oak with relief panels with human and animal figures . The the top of the back rest is decorated by two lions . Lions are also on the panel at the bottom of the chair.
The picture in the backrest shows Tristan und Isolde at chess. The chair is located in Alfabia for centuries and is known as "La Cadira del rei moro" (Catalan:" The Chair of the Moor King "). It was made in the 15th century in Flanders or Northern France. It probably came by sea from Flanders via Gibraltar to Mallorca. Deutsch: Der Stuhl von Alfabia ist ein Lehnstuhl aus Eichenholz mit Reliefpaneelen mit Menschen- und Tierfiguren. Die Lehne wird oben dekoriert durch zwei Löwenfiguren. Löwen sindauch auf dem Paneel im unteren Bereich dargestellt. Das Bild in der Rückenlehne zeigt Tristan und Isolde beim Schachspiel. Der Stuhl befindet sich seit Jahrhunderten in Alfabia und wird als "La cadira del rei moro" (katalanisch: "Der Stuhl des Maurenkönigs" bezeichnet. Er wurde im 15. Jahrhundert in Flandern oder Nordfrankreich hergestellt. Er kam vermutlich über den Seeweg von Flandern über Gibraltar nach Mallorca. |
