| Description |
English: Cairn by the Glenmoriston Preacher's Footprints This relatively recent cairn is marked on the OS map. It was erected beside two marks on the ground, protected by the rough wooden barrier, which are said to be the footprints of a travelling preacher called Finlay Munro. He came to spread the word of God in 1827, but he was not well received in Glenmoriston and his sermon was heckled. He said that the ground on which he stood would bear witness to the truth of what he said until the Day of Judgement comes. |
