Summary edit

Description

The barge "Fingal", followed by yacht "Kantega IV" enter the bottom lock of the Fort Augustus series from Loch Ness - to the great enjoyment of many bus parties.

The road bridge carrying the A82 Inverness-Fort William-Glasgow road has been swung open, and the Fingal prepares to enter the bottom lock of the Fort Augustus series, whose gate has been left open purposely after the last (Loch Ness-bound) boat left. This truly is the main street of the village of Fort Augustus. There is a narrow road (with shops and houses) on either side of, and running parallel to, the Canal, through the centre of the village.
