English: Teatro Capitol (antiguo Palacio Samaniego) is a former palace on Calle Gran Columbia in the Historic Center of Quito, the best-preserved, least altered historic center in Latin America. In Spanish, (El Centro Histórico de Quito) was constructed on what was once a 16th century Inca city at 2,850 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains near the Equator.
