Português: Complexo Ferroviário do Barreiro, As Oficinas foram a primeira estação ferroviária do Barreiro. O edifício estava praticamente concluído em 1859, data em que a reputada firma de construções ferroviárias P.&W. MacLellan, de Glasgow, dava por concluída a cobertura da grande nave da Gare, Armazéns e Oficinas.
Foi a primeira estação ferroviária construída de raiz em Portugal, sendo anterior a Sta. Apolónia (1865). Vai ser adaptada para Oficinas Gerais do Caminhos de Ferro do Sul e Sueste em 1884, quando é inaugurada a Estação Fluvial do Barreiro. Em 1886 as Oficinas eram consideradas “excecionais”, empregando então 500 operários - Barreiro - Portugal - -
