English: Camping Boats at Long Itchington A sunny June morning in 1977 sees a pair of full-length narrow boats, adapted as camping boats and with University students aboard, moored at Long Itchington on the Grand Union canal. The bridge in view is Blue Lias Bridge, which carries a minor road linking Long Itchington with Stockton. Through the bridge, another boat can be seen: it is moored outside the 'Blue Lias' public house. The pair of boats in the foreground have been kindly identified by Andy F as: Motor, 'Petrel', and butty, 'Moon', working for Union Canal Carriers. The skipper was Helen Smith, whose cross-bred terrier bitch, 'Toad' is seen on the towpath.
