Backcountry Campsite

Campsite is accessible from the Locator Lake Trailhead, located on the north Shore of Kabetogama Lake. Follow the trail, 1.9-miles, to Locator Lake. The Loiten Lake canoe (48 32.374, -093 00.680), will be needed and is stationed at Locator Lake. Paddle 2-miles through Locator Lake and through War Club Lake. Paddle until the Quill portage trail is reached. Portage the canoe .6-mile, then paddle east 1-mile, then portage canoe, .3-mile to Loiten Lake. Paddle .7-mile east, the campsite is located on the north shore of Loiten Lake. The portage trail is on the east end of War Club Lake and may be necessary to paddle through reeds and portage the canoe over a beaver dam depending on the water levels.
