English: Stock certificate of the Canal du Midi for 500 Francs, issued in Paris on 10 July 1810 to the Quartermaster of the 1st Cuirassier Regiment Monsieur Sterlin, signed by the Administrateur général of the central administration "Canaux du Midi, d'Orléans et du Loing", personally appointed by the Emperor himself. The canal company was founded on 10 March 1810 by Napoleon Bonaparte with a capital of 10 million francs, divided into 1000 shares of 10,000 francs each, with a fixed annual dividend of 500 francs. 100 of these shares were alienated by Napoleon Bonaparte for the purpose of renovating the Louvre. The purpose of the company was the maintenance and supervision of the Canal du Midi.

Spółka kanałowa została założona 10 marca 1810 r. przez Napoleona Bonaparte z kapitałem w wysokości 10 milionów franków, podzielonym na 1000 udziałów po 10 000 franków każdy, ze stałą roczną dywidendą w wysokości 500 franków. 100 z tych udziałów Napoleon Bonaparte przeznaczył na renowację Luwru.
