" Odds and ends I shot at home. "
" This is (or was) my first Canon G12. I carried it in my pocket - with no protection - and destroyed it with lint and dust. I carry my new G12 in a Ziplock baggie. Not very stylish, but it works and is much cheaper than a new camera.

It's cold and I was bored and curious, so I did the natural thing and disassembled it.

I really enjoy shooting with this camera. The controls are solid and intuitive, it has the features I want and the results have been spectacular.

The only weakness is its susceptibility to dust. Once the dust got on the sensor I knew it was doomed. I'm sure cleaning/repair would have been nearly as expensive as a replacement.

Noting special about the setup, a Sony a580 with a Tamron 180mm f2.8 lens on a tripod looking down on the parts on my kitchen table with an LED desk lamp. "
