Data da inauguração: 11 de fevereiro de 1949, o escolhido para a solenidade de inauguração.

A primeira edificação foi a gruta: constituiu-se por muitos anos como um importante ponto de encontro e romaria de fiéis e devotos, que buscavam, naquele agradável local, ter atendidas as suas preces.

A segunda edificação foi a Capela Nossa Senhora de Lourdes: a construção do novo templo foi realizada com a intenção de “reparar” os danos causados às imagens de Santa Bernadete e Nossa Senhora de Lourdes.

Inicialmente, a gruta tinha como função proeminente levar a tocante o culto a Imaculada Conceição. Hoje, a Capela de Nossa Senhora de Lourdes segue perpetuando sua crença, e por consequência sua tradição, refletidas na manutenção de sua imagem, bem como na inexorável solidez das pedras que compõe o singelo templo, as quais resplandecem a inabalável fé de seus fiéis devotos.
