Description

Foi até ao fim do século XIX a igreja matriz da antiga paróquia de São Salvador. Tendo caído em declínio, no início do século XX o corpo da igreja foi demolido e o seu portal foi novamente edificado na entrada do cemitério de Penedono.

Resta apenas a capela-mor, em cujo interior se destaca um belíssimo retábulo em talha dourada de estilo nacional, que apesar do seu mau estado de conservação demonstra a grandeza desta antiga igreja paroquial. <a href="https://cm-penedono.pt/visitar/capela-de-s-salvador/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">cm-penedono.pt/visitar/capela-de-s-salvador/</a>
