Description
Español: Esta capilla fue construida entre 1884 y 1889 por iniciativa de la Congregación de las Hijas de la Caridad, orden religiosa nacida en Francia. Las hermanas habían llegado en 1872 a San Fernando para organizar el Hospital San Juan de Dios (1848-1850).

El conjunto hospitalario y la capilla sobresalen de su entorno por su altura y por el estilo gótico de su construcción. Fíjate en sus vitrales.

La construcción es de ladrillo finamente trabajado y destaca el borde superior y las cornisas. En el interior, contiene un altar gótico tallado en madera de encina que se instaló en 1900. En 2005 concluyó un proyecto de restauración, sin embargo el terremoto de 2010 dejó daños mayores.

Estado post terremoto: Daño mayor, separación, desaplome en grietas y muros.
