| Description |
English: Car park for Blackstone Rock This car park is off the A456 and near the Bewdley Bypass. It is useful for visiting Blackstone Rock and the River Severn. A public footpath runs from the car park and connects with the river towpath. Opposite the car park is a farm track which is also a national cycleway route and a bridleway, and leads to a network of bridleways & footpaths, some of which pass through various nature reserves.
On the left of the car park is a brick structure which has a commemorative plaque regarding the opening of the bypass. In the distance is a white wooden frame aimed to prevent tall commercial vehicles entering here. It has been hit at some point so is no longer straight. The car park is full of potholes and the surface after rain is extremely muddy, adding to the general appearance of neglect. |
