Description
English: The Carbon River Road was heavily damaged in the November 2006 flood, and ecological protection structures such as engineered log jams have recently been installed in the Carbon area to help minimize damage to park facilities and roads in the future from flooding. This short film provides insight into the process of designing and building these unusual structures. Description: Two men wearing safety vests stand in front of a row of several large logs mostly buried in a dirt berm next to a wide, rocky river bed. Construction equipment excavates areas along side the river.
