English: Date Unknown - The cargo door from United Airlines Flight 811 is assembled after being recovered from the ocean floor. It was recovered in two pieces on September 26 (lower) & October 1 (top), 1990, at a depth of 14,200 off Oahu, Hawaii. (Approximate recovery location 20°41'24.0"N 158°40'33.6"W)

On September 14, 1990, the recovery ship Laney Chouest sailed from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with the manned deep sea submersible Sea Cliff. NTSB, FAA, Boeing and UAL engineering staff assisted the recovery team aboard the Laney Chouest. Previous U.S. Navy scanning had identified the debris field.
