Description
English: The new Danish frigate Jylland served as training ship for midshipmen on its commission in 1862. Its voyage included sailing in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea as far as the Faroe Islands. Here it is drawn by marine artist Carl Dahl at Kalsoy. The Danish weekly Illustreret Tidende covered the voyage and used the drawing in its August 3, 1862 issue.
Dansk: Den nybyggede skruefrigat Jylland var på togt som kadetskib i 1862. Skibet var både i Østersøen og i Nordsøen så langt som til Færøerne. Her har Carl Dahl tegnet skibet ved Kolsø (Kalsoy). Tegningen blev bragt i forbindelse med Illustreret Tidendes omtale af togtet, 3. august 1862.
