Carlo Giuseppe Busnelli fu richiamato d'autorità dalla Sardegna dove prestava servizio militare apposta per sposare la cognata, rimasta vedova con due figliolette, in seguito all'accoltellamento del suo primo marito da parte di un ex dipendente dei suoi suoceri proprietari di una piccola filanda a conduzione familiare.

A Monza Carlo Giuseppe Busnelli faceva la guardia carceraria e abitava di fronte al carcere in via Mentana. Negli ultimi anni della sua vita abitò in via Durini.
