Magyar: Carlo Ginzburg 1939 –ben született, Torinóban. Filozófiából doktorált 1961 –ben a Pisai Egyetemen. A felvétel idején a Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa tanára. A felvétel a Nyilt Társadalom Intézetben (Budapest V. Arany János u. 32 szám) 2010. február 12 –én pénteken tartott előadásán készült. A mikrotörténésznek is aposztrofált Ginzburg detevtívként, nyomolvasóként kutat. Egyedi esetek elemzésével kutatja a formális tudás mellett az informálisat is. Ismert munkája a Sajt és a férgek című.
