English: Carn Perfedd One of a series of volcanic outcrops or tors along the north coast of the St David's peninsula: the protection afforded by the towering rocks allows a variety of plants to survive in crevices and crannies. Here ivy, blackthorn and hawthorn huddle close, out of the reach of the wind.
The name is curious: cairn of the guts or bowels. Perhaps this was once the scene of some bloody deed. |
