DISTINGUISHED ENGINEERING LECTURE: Dr. Mark J. Lewis, Executive Director of NDIA’s Emerging Technologies Institute (ETI), gave a virtual lecture to the Purdue University College of Engineering on March 11, 2021. Following Dr. Lewis’ lecture, several Purdue faculty members joined him in a panel to discuss different approaches to conducting national defense-related research at a university, with examples of how university research flows into defense technology development, including research topics the panelists see where universities can make an important difference to advance defense technologies.
