Portrait de femme vêtue d'une robe noire, assise, jouant une sonate pour harpe du célèbre compositeur de cet instrument, Jean-Baptiste Krumpholtz, comme l'indique la partition positionnée sur la table à droite. La harpe de cette jeune fille est richement décorée de feuillages et de fleurs, avec deux tons de couleurs. Le portrait est daté du mois de Thermidor, an 9 (calendrier républicain), c'est-à-dire entre le 20 juillet et le 18 août 1801. |
