Le châtelet d'entrée, cantonné de quatre tourelles circulaires, date du 16e siècle et fut probablement construit par Jean Le Veneur. C'est un pavillon à deux étages. Sa construction associe des briques rouges et noires. Son style Louis XII est caractéristique de cette période de transition entre le Gothique et la Renaissance.
