Description
English: Model of a catrina wearing a mexican folk art dress from Chiapas, of different colors and decorated with flowers. The "Cartonería" is considered a Mexican folk art, it consists in a technique in which figures are created through a process of modeling paper. The most popular figures made of this technique are devils, piñatas, bulls, alebrijes, catrinas, skulls, among others.
Español: Modelo de una Catrina portando un vestido regional mexicano de Chiaas, de diferentes colores y decorado con flores. La "Cartonería" es considerada un arte popular mexicano, el cual consiste en una técnica con la que se crean figuras a través de un proceso de de modelado de papel periódico. Las figuras más relevantes son los diablos, piñatas, toros, alebrijes, catrinas, cadáveres, entre otros.
