English: La “Casa Hacienda de Mamacona”, se levanta sobre un promontorio inca, de arquitectura clásica colonial, data originalmente de 1785, habiendo sido reconstruida en 1897, después de su parcial destrucción por acción de sucesivos sismos del siglo XIX; se encuentra actualmente en restauración para una próxima puesta en valor, y apertura de un “restaurant – museo”, la cual también fue escenario de muchos acontecimientos históricos, dada la hospitalidad de la familia Silva Elguera, quienes albergaron al célebre arqueólogo alemán Max Uhle, quien agradece muy cariñosamente a la familia Silva, en el Prólogo de su importante obra: “Peruvian Expedition of 1896”, documento científico, editado por la Universidad de Pennsylvania en 1903. |
