Description

Belo exemplar de casa solarenga urbana cuja construção remonta ao século XVII, o seu nome está relacionado com o Terreiro do Curro (Praça Deu-la-Deu Martins). Tendo sido utilizada para diversos fins ao longo de muitos anos, foi objecto de uma profunda recuperação iniciada em 1984, sendo, nos dias que correm, palco de múltiplas actividades culturais.

No auditório municipal, onde habitualmente decorrem as sessões do executivo, realizam-se várias manifestações culturais como conferências ou palestras. O Paço do Alvarinho, situado no 1º andar, recebe frequentemente provas de vinho e iniciativas promocionais daquela casta demarcada e singular da Sub-Região de Monção.

O imóvel alberga ainda a delegação de turismo, espaço para exposições e uma área destinada a produtos tradicionais locais como doces, geleias ou compotas.
