English: Cash's Houses, Coventry An early attempt to provide social housing for his employees, Victorian entrepreneur Cash built his factory on the top of the houses: The employees thus lived underneath their communal workspace. This unique block still survives, as listed buildings. It is adjacent to the canal - near Cash's Bridge. I am indebted to John Brightley for this information. |
