English: Castell Du Motte This is an iron age mound, the name meaning "Black Castle". It looks quite bleak today with the ground covered with frost. Such ancient monuments are protected by law so the farmer is not allowed to disturb it. Bracken, gorse and scrub now occupy the site. |
