English: Castles of Munster: Ballindoney, Tipperary This four storey tower whose end walls continue upwards a stage further, is first mentioned in 1547. Its north end wall contains a large fifth storey room having a NE angle loop, and a machicolation over the entrance doorway on the east side. (both visible in the photo). |
