Description
English: Mausoleom at Cavtat's graveyard
Deutsch: Achteckiges Mausoleum im Jugendstil von 1920-22 vom kroatischen Bildhauer und Architekt Ivan Meštrović (1883-1962 in South Bend, Indiana, USA) für den prominente Kapitän und Schiffseigner Ivo Račić aus Dubrownik, der im März 1918 in Zagreb starb. Standort ist der Belvedere auf dem Hügel von St. Rcco, in der Nähe des Cavtat/Dalmatien/Kroatien öffentlichem Friedhofs. Bald darauf - im September starb seine Kinder - Tochter Marija und Sohn Edi an dem spanischen Rauchabzug. Es war der letzte Wunsch seiner Frau Marija (die ein Jahr später starb), dass die ganze Familie zusammen begraben wurde. Ivan Mestrovic brauchte 2 Jahre, um das Gebäude zu bauen und seither liegt die Familie Račić hier - vom Meer und dem Sonnenschein gewaschen.
