Description
Español: Cementerio Santa Isabel, Vitoria-Gasteiz. San José, 77 (San José cruce con Santa cruz). En 1882 para Julián Zulueta y Amondo, Marqués de Álava (comerciante y negrero, residió en La Habana y allí se enriqueció, su hijo es el impulsor del palacio Zulueta). Parece que el arquitecto que realizó el proyecto fue Martín Saracíbar con la colaboración de su hijo Julio. De estilo neomanierista, tiene planta octogonal y se eleva sobre un pedestal, rodeado de una cadena, con una escalinata de ocho peldaños. Las columnas acanaladas soportan sobre sus decorados capiteles un entablamento a modo de tambor que soporta una hermosa cúpula coronada por un ángel.
