Description

Butterfly pea, probably Centrosema pubescens. Drumsite, Christmas Island, Australia, April 2011.

Centrosema pubescens is considered by the Christmas Island Expert Working Group as a high risk weed of semi-deciduous forest and disturbed areas. Interestingly, Tropical Forages promotes Centrosema pubescens for mixed grazed pasture, and having an unknown, probably low weed potential.
